President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel officially appointed 87 new professors on the nomination of the scientific and artistic boards of universities. Congratulations to the new professors of our faculty: Hans-Heiner Gorris, Hynek Pickhart, Lukáš Kubala, and Michal Veselý.
On Monday 16 June, the Grand Auditorium of the Karolinum in Prague hosted a ceremony where new professors received their official appointment decrees. The Scientific Board of Masaryk University nominated fourteen candidates, twelve of whom work at the university. Four of the newly appointed professors are from the Faculty of Science, two are from the Faculty of Medicine.
