My research focuses on the role of the choroid plexus in pathology, which is an essential structure located in the brain ventricles responsible for producing cerebrospinal fluid and forming the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier. Dysfunction of the choroid plexus has been linked to various neurological disorders, including neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Despite its clinical importance, the choroid plexus remains understudied, prompting us to expand our knowledge of its pathophysiological mechanisms, particularly in Alzheimer's disease and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, two devastating conditions with no known cure. With over four years of experience studying the choroid plexus, I seek to uncover novel insights into these conditions and contribute to the advancement of the field.
