On Friday, September 30, 2022, after a two-year online period, the Night of Scientists was once again held "live". At the Faculty of Science of MU, both campuses, the centre on Kotlářská Street and the Bohunice University Campus, came alive with science from 6 pm to midnight.

The Rector's Award for Outstanding Teachers was awarded to Jan Šmarda

On Thursday, the Rector of Masaryk University (MU) Martin Bareš opened the new academic year 2022/2023 at the Augustinian Abbey in Brno. During the ceremony, he presented the Rector's Awards to outstanding teachers. The Masaryk University Rector's Award for outstanding teachers in the field of natural sciences and medicine was awarded to Jan Šmarda, Head of the Department of Experimental Biology. Congratulations!
