Dear students, these days we are commemorating two events in our history connected with the date of November 17 and university students’ protests against totalitarian regimes. Two events that are exactly half a century apart. In both cases, these protests led to changes in society. Fortunately, for the better in the latter, and thanks to that, you can enjoy freedom and democracy today. But it was not free.

Elections to the Academic Senate MU – List of Candidates

Dear colleagues, dear academic staff and students of the Faculty of Science, As you may already know, the elections to the Academic Senate of Masaryk University were announced a month ago. Recently, the submission of candidacy's notices has been completed.

"We are testing how our modification of nanofibre filters will withstand industrial use," says David Pavliňák

Our experts have devised a technique that facilitates the production of nanofibre mask filters. Now, with the help of a grant from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR), they are verifying how the plasma-treated surface of the filter handles temperature fluctuations, storage and other "pitfalls" of commercial production.
