Bachelor's degree in full-time form. The language of instruction is Czech.
The programme can be studied as a single subject or in combination with another programme.
The Personal Development and Employment study program is intended for students who are interested in the development of human resources in the private and public sectors. It allows students to acquire and deepen unique complex and multidisciplinary knowledge, skills, and practical experience in the personnel-working field, which uses economic, pedagogical, legal, sociological, and psychological perspectives.
“Through the development of human potential toward a sustainable society.”
They will acquire this knowledge and skills, among other things, through subjects focused on people management and organizational behavior, communication in organizations, education and professional and personal development, labor market and employment, and public and social policy. At the same time, students will gain experience with the development of people in a real working environment as part of a compulsory professional practice.
Graduates will be equipped with key knowledge and methodological and interpersonal skills that will enable them to analyze, assess, direct, and influence the employment and development of people in various organizational contexts. In particular, they will be able to train and develop employees coming from the same or diverse cultural environment, improve their work involvement and performance, diagnose organizational needs, evaluate the effectiveness of the personnel management system in organizations, and implement measures that will lead to their development.
Practice in the field of personnel development and employment is an integral part of studying the bachelor's program. During studies (but not before the first semester), students must take the subject Practice 1. Within it, it is possible to gain practical experience in three areas, while the choice of one of them is left to the interest and professional orientation of the student:
In addition to the mandatory 75-hour practice (accompanied by supervision and joint reflection of practical experience at seminars), the student can subsequently deepen his practical skills also within the subjects Practice 2 and Practice 3, which are listed in each semester as part of compulsory elective courses and offer the opportunity to gain experience in the remaining two professional areas (i.e. in those that the student did not choose to complete the mandatory Practice 1 course).
The department provides students with workplaces with which they cooperate on a long-term basis and where it is possible to carry out practical work. Based on an agreement with the departmental internship coordinator and in cooperation with him, it is also possible to complete an internship in an organization of the student's own choice.

Students have a pre-defined list of required courses, which are supplemented with selective and elective courses. The student pays full attention to the single field of study chosen.
In this type of studies, the students focus on the main degree programme (120 credits) supplemented with another, minor, programme (60 credits). The student enrols in the degree programme in which he/she majors. Both the programmes are stated in the university diploma. You will find possible combinations on the websites of individual degree programmes. An exception is programmes preparing students for teaching professions, where both fields of study are equal and the thesis may be written in any of them.
